Massage Therapy Workshop

Available in Calgary and Edmonton, this first year massage therapy program is 7.5 months long, including 1,250 hours of actual training and massage therapy courses. This includes a two-week work experience placement with major employers that can open doors to numerous massage career opportunities. Facial Treatment - Cosmetic Massage

Students work through the preparation of both the treatment area and the client prior to a facial. An understanding of what facial treatment products are available, their application and suitability to the various skin types is gained. Basic facial steps without the use of equipment and basic massage movements are covered, as is an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the face and décolleté. Contraindications (a factor that renders the carrying out of a particular treatment inadvisable) and safety for all skin types are studied.

FOOT REFLEXOLOGY

This course is taught by a qualified teacher from the Ontario College of Reflexology. This certificate course focuses on the basic understanding of anatomy and physiology as it applies to the practical session methodology of Foot Reflexology. The total course fee includes 35 in-classroom hours of Reflexology theory and practical instruction, required textbook, mid-term practical assessment, written and practical examinations.
